Character Profile

This is a copy of my character profile. I haven't answered all of the questions but I have a basic idea of what I want to do. I love Europe and the distinct seasons in Europe. I especially love winter because it is a major part of my life. I chose to put myself in snow and am going to make myself a part of the snow. I have a couple of background selections and have already changed my skin tone to match the environment.

Assignment Work

This lesson I was working with my photo getting rid of the background and different blemishes, spots and marks I didn't want visible. I haven't decided exactly what I want to do with my avatar for I haven't finished the character profile yet. I have a couple more questions to go and hopefully will have it done by next lesson. The first photo is the original and the second one is without background and it is touched up.

Animal Celeb

In this activity, we were asked to morph and picture of an animal onto the face of a celebrity. I chose to put the face of a hamster onto Ariana Grande. It didn't turn out very well as I wash;t sure which part of her face I should morph the hamster onto. I had to change the colour of the hamster because of her skin tone and her outfit. This was the last activity I did so it was a bit rushed. The photo's below are the original photo's of Ariana Grande and the hamster.

After opening these photo's on photoshop, I cut the hamster out and put part of his face on Ariana's face in the first picture. As you can see her outfit, hair and skin tone were not compatible with the colours on the hamster.
After this I masked the hamster to fit her face, I changed the colour and it took a few time to find the right colour. It took a couple lessons to mask the hamster just right but in the end I managed to get somewhere.
This was what I ended up with. I think that I could have changed the colour and area of the face and made the edges softer but it looks alright.

Emotions

I took this photo of a little baby...
And using the liquify tool I changed the mouth and eyes to make the baby look Happy!!!
There is not much difference but there is some. I made the eyes bigger and dragged the corners of the lips up and out to make the baby smile. Then I just made the eyes bigger and lighter. The other emotion that I did was angry.
I made the eyes smaller and narrower and lengthened the eyebrows. I turned the corners of the mouth down and around the tongue. This was challenging because it didn't work at first as it was hard to curve the edges around the tongue.
On the third photo I made a surprised face. I didn't have to change the mouth just the eyes and eyebrows. I made the eyebrows really short and turned them up. Then I just made the eyes bigger. It was hard to get the eyes to be big because if I didn't click on the right spot of the eye, the wrong part would beam larger and the eyes looked fake.

Clebrity Makeover

This is the photo of Amanda Seyfried which I edited using the healing tool, liquify tool and hue and saturation. I changed the color of her lips and made them smaller. I got rid of her blemishes and creases that she had around her mouth and on her forehead. The photo below is the edited photo.

Playing with photoshop

This lesson we learnt how to blend different
backgrounds with skin and clothes. We haven't gotten the task but we have a good idea of what it is about. I was using the liquify tool a lot this lesson as I was transforming a model. This is my avatar.

It was difficult and found some bits especially hard like making sure it look real yet not real. This is what the original photo looked like.
As you can see, I changed the hair and skin tone as well as the eyes and lips. I used a number of photos to add the lips, eyes, skin tone and hair.

It took a while and a lot of brushes to mask these photo's onto the background and the result was interesting. In general it was really a fun experiment.

New skill

We learnt how to touch up photo's and how to make a brush. We started by touching up Emma Watson. We learnt About pixels and high resolution images. The Emma Watson photo was 1919 × 2560 mega pixels. The photo on the left is the one I edited and the one on the right is the original photo. I used the patch tools and clone tools to get rid of the blemishes and hue and saturation to change the lips.
